Sustainability team

Genuit Group’s purpose is to create a better, more sustainable built environment. This means increasing its resilience to adapt to the challenges that climate change creates, as well as reducing the impact it has upon the environment. Sustainability is therefore at the core of how Genuit operates and its commercial growth strategy, and the Group’s sustainability team is a highly important part of this. At the same time, the team has driven excellent progress in reducing the environmental impact of Genuit’s business operations and setting industry-leading science-based targets for further improvement.

ODGroup
ESG Strategy

In 2024 we launched the ODGroup ESG Strategy based on years of data collection that allowed us to set realistic benchmarks based on long-term collated information. SustainIQ, ESG reporting software, monitors and measures ESG performance, helping us to accurately operations to ensure we’re meeting our set targets. We have developed a bespoke ESG dashboard available to stakeholders within projects, promote awareness, usage, understanding and accountability throughout project lifecycles. We also adhere to the Considerate Constructor Scheme (CCS) and have a targeted average score of 39 out of 45 for each project registered. We have been certified to ISO14001 since 2015.

Wernick Group
Sustainability champions

Wernick Group’s sustainability team, led by Alexis Massey and Alarmel Valli, is driving the company towards its net zero by 2040 goal. Their initiatives have resulted in significant energy savings and carbon reductions, including an annual saving of 175,000 kWh and 41 tonnes of CO2e. The team collaborates with various partners and integrates sustainable practices across the business, including solar power installations and electric vehicle adoption. They also work closely with the marketing team to promote sustainability internally and externally, ensuring widespread engagement and awareness.
