Alastair is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health who joined McLaughlin & Harvey in 2014 as the SHEQ Manager, leading the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Department. He was promoted to Group Head of SHEQ in 2015 and Group SHEQ Director in 2018. Alastair plays a key leadership role in the development, implementation, and continual enhancement of McLaughlin & Harvey’s safety, health, wellbeing, environmental, and quality strategy. In overseeing all safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements, Alastair has developed extensive experience across a broad range of contract types and construction disciplines. He also contributes to the work of several industry-leading bodies, including CLC, CLF, and HCLG, supporting sector-wide initiatives that advance standards in health and safety regulatory compliance.
