Alpa Kapasi is the Equality Diversity and Inclusion Manager on the iconic HS2 Old Oak
Common project in Northwest London. Alpa leads on the design and delivery of
the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) Programme at Old Oak Common –
working closely with senior leaders within the Integrated Project Team (BBVS;
HS2; WSP & Network Rail), colleagues and supply chain partners in
delivering an inclusive project which
touches the lives of Londoners in some of the most disadvantaged parts of the
city.
Alpa has worked as a diversity and inclusion specialist for
over 25 years across a broad spectrum of organisations in the public, private
and third sectors, and in several jurisdictions including Europe, Australia,
Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
Alpa’s focus is on the practical application of diversity and inclusion legislation, theory and practice - the delivery of ED&I programmes that drive meaningful change and sustainable outcomes. Prior to joining BBVS, Alpa had worked for BAE Systems Plc. as a Diversity and Inclusion Manager.
Over the years Alpa has championed many causes addressing
issues of social justice and inequality including working with refugees and
asylum seekers, women and children that are survivors of rape and domestic
abuse and organisations campaigning for racial equality.
