With a diverse HR background across retail, finance, and the charity sector, Sam has spent the last eight years leading employee engagement and DEI at Balfour Beatty. She’s championed a ‘whole person’ approach to engagement and a truly inclusive culture that has seen engagement increase across the Group year on year. She’s passionate about wellbeing, with a special interest in menopause support, neurodiversity and co-chairs the Allies Against Domestic Abuse group. Since 2023, she has driven the rollout of the Right to Respect programme, ensuring everyone is valued and treated with respect in the workplace.
